Who we are
Five people. Between us: two decades of fraud and law enforcement work, live casework at a global crypto exchange, a compliance function built from zero across two jurisdictions, onboarding leadership at four tier-one banks, and financial crime oversight at a UK development finance institution. We do the work ourselves.

Tamia N
Director, Financial Crime & Investigations
Twenty years of experience across fraud prevention, AML investigations, law enforcement and blockchain analytics. Tamia has worked in financial crime and compliance at a crypto lender and led AML investigations at a global exchange, including subpoena handling and law enforcement responses. She brings cross-platform expertise across Chainalysis, Elliptic and Crystal, rather than relying on a single vendor’s stack.
Credentials
ICA International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention
Associate of the International Compliance Association
Chainalysis Reactor, KYT and Ethereum Investigations certified
TRM Certified Sanctions Specialist

Karl S
Director, Blockchain Analytics & Crypto Investigations
Four years of live cross-chain and DeFi investigation: Reactor and KYT alert handling, tracing across multiple blockchains, OSINT attribution, and SAR preparation on complex crypto cases. Karl came to financial crime from inside crypto itself, through technical and support roles at early DeFi exchanges, which is why he reads a transaction graph the way an engineer does rather than the way a form-filler does.

Vijay Patel
Director, Compliance Programmes & Regulatory Engagement
Twelve years building and running compliance functions, most recently as Chief Compliance Officer and Group MLRO of a financial group spanning a BVI-regulated investment manager and a US-regulated MSB and OTC digital asset liquidity provider. Vijay built that function from nothing: the onboarding lifecycle, the policies, the risk assessment, the technology stack, and the teams that ran it. He was the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations and led the group through successive external BSA audits, all passed. Previously FCA-approved under controlled function CF10a.

MSc Investment and Risk Finance

Zishaan Mirza
Director, Cross-Border Risk & Supervisory Advisory
A decade of financial crime work inside institutions where getting it wrong has consequences beyond a fine: a UK development finance institution investing in frontier markets, and a correspondent bank serving emerging market economies. Zishaan has worked both sides of the rulebook in African markets, helping central banks design national financial crime frameworks and then testing how those frameworks landed at the private banks they supervise, through financial crime audits and control enhancement programmes. Before that, financial crime roles at State Street and Citi. Zishaan’s specialism is the risk that sits in cross-border relationships, which is the risk most likely to cost a firm its banking.

MA Diplomacy, Politics and International Relations

Tahir Asif
Director, KYC Operations & Onboarding Quality
Over a decade running onboarding, due diligence and quality assurance in regulated institutions: Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Nationwide, RBS, and then as head of onboarding for crypto and fintech firms. Tahir’s work is the unglamorous part that regulators actually test — whether the files are right, whether the process holds at volume, and whether the quality framework catches what it is meant to catch. He began his career as a fraud analyst at Deloitte.
