Our story
We started this because we had all seen what happens when it goes wrong.
CAMLfort exists because five people who had spent their careers inside financial crime functions kept watching the same thing happen. A firm grows faster than its controls. Someone senior assumes a framework is working because a document says so. By the time anyone tests it properly, there is a finding, a backlog, a frozen account, or an investigation.
Between us we have been the Group MLRO who signed off the high-risk cases, the investigator tracing funds across chains at two in the morning, the person responding to the subpoena, the one running the onboarding queue when it was forty thousand files deep, and the one explaining to a regulator why a control failed.
We are five directors and no junior bench. That is deliberate. The people you meet in the first conversation are the people who do the work, and we would rather turn an engagement away than staff it with someone who has never held the accountability.
How we work
We scope tightly and tell you what we think the problem is before you commit to anything. We say no when a piece of work needs a capability we do not have, and we will point you at someone who does. We do not take an engagement we cannot resource properly.
